Need Help with my Hardware MIDI Keyboard

I bought me Music Creator 7 a while ago, but i had not figured out why my USB MIDI Keyboard (M-Audio Oxygen49 4th Gen) spits only the signal but no sound out. And i dont know how to import VST files.

So I am realy confused about that.
If somebody could help me it would be very nice.

have a nice day
HV (Nathan)

This may help http://www.cakewalk.com/D...;help=Tutorial4.1.html

There are quite a few tutorial videos here http://www.cakewalk.com/caketv/music-creator. One of them "Music Creator 6 Touch - 4 - Synths and MIDI" may also help with your specific issue. Even though the video uses MC6T, the process is the same in MC7.

Midi output is data only.  Have you inserted a softsynth and set it up with a sample or patch in order to play the sounds?

That threw me for a loop when I was getting started. Took me quite a few hours to get it ironed out. Once you get it though..... it's a snap from then on.

And just to be clear, your midi controller doesn't produce audio, no sound generation capability. Your midi controller triggers the synth-plugin(s) installed on your computer via Music Creator or stand-alone synth-plugin(s), e.g. VSTi plugin.

Cool, right?!

I started in the 90's with Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and external equipment, then Sonar with soft-synths! I was ESTATIC when I realized for less than $500, I had access to instruments and audio processors I dreamed of owning for decades!

Have fun!
