    Taken from the VS700 Owner's Manual Spec page:

    VS-700C Console: 28.75 (W) X 17 (D) X 5 (H)

    VS-700R I/O: 17.125 (W) X 13.75 (D) X 3.4375 (H)

    [That's all in inches]

    Do the 8 inputs accept both microphone and line level?

    When will the manuals be available on-line to review the details?

    I think that a lot of people are interested in the quality level of the converters and preamps and how they compare to popular high end products such as Apogee 200, Uaudio 610 and Great River preamps.

    What kind of detailed information is or will be availble about the audio quaility of the IO signal path?

    Yes they do.

    I don't have an ETA yet for this - I will post it as soon as it available. (Provided there is nothing preventing us from doing so)

    I don't have anything to offer yet for comparison to other devices I can share with you some more of the specs though:

    Disclaimer: this is far from the complete specs, just relevant specs for Inputs 1-8

    Frequency Response:
    Input 1-8 -> Main Out

    • 20-20kHz 0dB / -2 dB (Sampling Frequency: 44.1 kHz/48 kHz)
    • 20-40kHz 0dB / -2 dB (Sampling Frequency: 88.2 kHz/96 kHz)
    • 20-60kHz 0dB / -3 dB (Sampling Frequency: 192 kHz)
    • 20-90kHz 0dB / -8 dB (Sampling Frequency: 192 kHz)

    Total Harmonic Distortion
    Input 1-8 -> Main Out: .01% typ. (PAD: ON, GAIN:min., -1dB)

    Residual Noise Level
    Input 1-8 -> Main Out: -81 dBu tu[e/ (PAD: ON, GAIN:min., 400 ohms terminated, IHF-A)

    Equivalent Noise Input Level (E.I.N.)
    Input 1-8: -123 dBu typ. (PAD: OFF, GAIN:Max., 400 ohms terminated, IHF-A)

    Dynamic Range

    • AD Block: Input 1-8: 104 dB typ. (PAD:ON, GAIN:Min.)
    • DA Block: MAIN OUT, SUB OUT, OUTPUT 1-10: 108 dB typ.

    Crosstalk@ 1 kHz:

    Input 1-8-> MAIN OUT: -98 dB typ. (PAD:ON, GAIN:Min.)

    I am under the impression that I can route the anolog inputs 1 thru 8 on the V700R to the Digital ADAT out and then to an ADAT in on a Motu 2408 Mk3. There seems to be quite a bit of arguement about this. Am I misinformed?
