There are indeed countless hours of freely available YouTube video clips, on just about all aspects of Sonar functions, as well as basics through advanced music production techniques and approaches in general. Further, there are also the included tutorials with Sonar, the Sonar documentation, and REALLY well written commercial books that go into GREAT depth and detail - completely covering the configuration and use of all things Sonar. Many times those are freely available through a local library, and even if they don't happen to carry one, they are quite good about locating a nearby library that WOULD have one or more, and they have inter-library book loaning available free of charge in most metropolitan areas in the US. And there are the commercially available videos that also cover Sonar from top to bottom, as well as the whole music production process. Then there are these WONDERFUL Cakewalk forums, where you can get some REALLY great help from some of the best engineers out there, and there are BUNCHES of folks here who will truly bend over backwards to do their best to help people get their issues resolved or hopefully help come up with workarounds as needed. So, WELCOME to the forums - please DO list your issues, one issue per thread please, and please take a look at the forum descriptions and maybe take a peek at some of the threads in ones you are thinking of posting in, to help make sure you post in the best place for the TYPE of question or issue you are posting about. In addition, it helps US to help YOU, if you modify your forum profile's Signature section, to add information on your particular computer hardware/software setup, as well as what type of audio interface you use, etc. You can look at the bottom of my post or others, to get an idea of what kind of info to put into YOUR Signature. What that does is to give all the folks who are reviewing threads a good idea of what kind of system you are running Sonar on, and that will help us to speed up our analysis and hopeful help toward a solution. Otherwise, we have to ask a bunch of questions about what you are running, and all of that, and it takes a bunch of time that could have been better of actually helping you. Sooooo, please edit your forum profile and add that info - and (this is important)you DO add the info, make sure you check the box at the bottom to tell the Forum software to always add your Signature info to the bottom of your posts, or we will not see it. OK? So, let's get your issues posted in these forums, so that we can get your problems resolved and get you into a good frame of non-frustrated music production. :) Bob Bone

Hi... Here's a link to a detailed video that I authored for SWA for Sonar X2. 50 videos and still relevant to current versions, less the additions of course. Best of all it's now free. Any specific questions, just post on up. There's plenty of help here..

(I have instructed multimedia classes before also, I'm a good fun teacher with lots of knowledge, experience and achievements) I feel like I've been using sonar since I was a very young child...
