I've always felt I could do it & figured... when I get tired of rock, I will retire to country.  What do ya got?  I'd give it a shot.   I've always loved all the harmonies in country and the fact that these guys sing the entire song in  low chest voice, hit middle head voice for 4 syllables in each chorus and it sounds like they went to the rafters!   They are regarded as phenomenal vocalists...  that doesn't even really suffice as a warm up for what hard rock singers have to do to their vocal chords (in my opinion).  I am not saying they are not talented, just that I find the style easier to accomplish.

From your White Christmas song, you don't need a country singer, you are a country singer. Flow with it!!

I have a country song on my soundcloud page. Check it out and see if my vocals would fit.

Well, different people are better suited for different tunes? I've heard the song, and I think I can give a performance. But from my experience, it really is that some songs are just better suited for some performances. That doesn't necessarily mean that someone who sang something else good is well suited to sing another song. i.e., David Lee Roth was a great singer! But I don't hear him doing Country?  So it's really "just the right fit." That the producer is looking for. There could be several good performances but they may not be what the producer hears in his head when he pictures the finished product. I had a friend from Helsinki? EVERYTHING he did was a Finnish product...

There are several here who are not who you would consider singers in their own right, however, on some pieces, you couldn't imagine anyone else doing the performance? Their style "just fits the piece." I wish I could find "a piece..." that fits? WAIT! are we talking about the same thing?

well, how about a country singer with a German accent?

Just kidding, I know you have some excellent singers here! (If this is a poll, I would like to hear Chuck, for he usually is producing harder stuff, it would be interesting to hear him singing country, this will sure have a nice twist/edge to it!)
