Need help setting up ACT

I have a novation remote sl which works awsome for plugins but is really not up to it for controlling the mixer.  The fact that an ACT setup can control the channel strip makes it a lot more interesting to me.  I really cant seem to understand it at all.  anybody willing to walk me through it on a netmeeting or something?

    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    I would but seeing as CW already have here I'll link that instead.

    Think of ACT as a 'translator' between Sonar and your surface. That may help you get your head round it a little easier.

    I have sonar x1 power.  this is just one of those blind spots in my ability to learn.

    At the end of it I got nothing and have no idea which part I did wrong.
