Standard questions here, what's the PC specs, what sound card or interface are you using? What's your current driver mode set to, MME? Try MME if it isn't already set to it, then you should be able to profile the device, unless MC4 is a different animal.

So we'll be walking uphill both ways here, eh? :)

OK, using my old MC Pro (I don't know 4) and doing the worst thing I can do...assuming the menu structure is the same or close to previous versions of MC.

Go to OPTIONS, then down to AUDIO, click on the advanced tab and select MME for the driver mode. I'm also guessing that this is your problem, then try to run the WAVE PROFILER at the bottom of the GENERAL tab.

If the structure is different, or this doesn't solve it - then you'd need to post some more detailed info about your system...we have a robot that patrols these neck of the woods - he's very efficient, there was a dog too...he may just sniff this thread out from wherever he is right now......*waits for sound of tounge wagging and running....followed by mechanical footsteps)

Let me know if this works for you.

The only fix i know of for that issue is to do as it suggests and go to options/audio and choose a different driver mode (MME WDM or ASIO.) I would start with as Terry said MME driver mode. Make sure to close and reopen the program. If that does not wortk then you need to e-mail Cake.

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!
