Need help with Sonar3

I am relatively new to this even though I have had the software for some time. I recorded some tracks with a guitar player and used two microphones plugged into my computer. However to hear the mics I selected Stereo for both mics so I have both instruments in both tracks. Is there a way to separate or delete one instrument from each track so I can modify them?

Thanks,
Mark

    Welcome to the forum!

I don't remember what features vs 3 included, and not knowing which version of it you're using, I just suggest "Bounce to track>Split stereo".

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

    Welcome to Sonar(ten years later)
Bounce to track-split stereo might work if there were some isolation between the left and right inputs, but I understand that not to be the case here.
I'm not very optimistic about being able to separate the tracks in the project you have recorded, but we may be able to help moving forward.
Describe, in as much detail as you can, how you connected both mics to the computer.
Tell us about your hardware setup.
    Do you have a mixer?
What sound card/interface do you have?
    What is your OS(XP,Vista,Win98,etc)?
    What kind of mics?
Any and all details you can share will be helpful.
