Need help with Step Sequencer in Session Drummer/Producer

Hi

I have used the step sequencer in Producer to create a drum pattern with Session Drummer.  I can see the pattern in the track.  My question is how do I create a new pattern in the step sequencer to put in the track without losing the pattern already in the track.

Example:

First pattern is:  Bass Drum, Snare, Bass Drum, Bass Drum, Snare (standard rock beat)

Then I'd like to put a new pattern next.... say with some Toms

Can you help me figure out how to use the step sequencer so I can create my drum track?

Thanks
Ryan

    Two options:

    1. Copy-Paste or Ctrl-drag copy the existing step sequencer clip, unlink it from the original, and edit as needed.
    2. Click the Step Sequencer button in the the SD3 interface to create a new, empty SS clip in the same track and drag it to where you want it after you've set up the pattern.

EDIT: +1 for Fog's recommendation to check out Seth's Drum Production videos.

THANKS - the Master Class Videos are excellent and taught me everything I needed to know and more.  Very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone with a similar question.  Thanks everyone for pointing me in that direction!

    Hi Guys

After getting fed up of re-creating Step Sequencer clips from scrath just to add different inflections I read up the manual and checksed out Seths masterclass. And before my very eyes there it was the "Unlink Step Sequencer Clips" command. Only, it doesn't work (for me at least).

I copied and pasted a SS clip, highlight the one I want to edit, right click and select "Unlink SS Clips" but as soon as I add an additional note / hit it edits all the clips it originated from.

    What am I doing wrong?
