Need some quick advice on limiter plug-in please

Good day. I am a home recorder, I know that I will never be doing "professional" projects but I do want to make my stuff sound as competitive as possible while maintaining a budget. I used to have access to many plug-ins from Waves, Izotope etc. I no longer have those options. I have X3 Producer and have found with the plugins that come with it and my Pod farm I am good with the exception of a good limiter plug-in. I have found 3 deals and I need some expert advice on what you guys think would be the best way to go. 2 of the deals end today.
1-waves power pack which includes the L1 Ultramaximizer, C 1 comp, Desser,
10 Band eq, Double and some others for $129
2-Waves L2 Ultramaximizer $100
3- Izotope Ozone 6 $249 but with 24 mos interest free on Sweetwater Card.

The 2 waves deals end today.

Which do you guys think is the better deal taking quality into account?

Thank you for your help.

Perhaps you already know about it but if not, check out Limiter 6 by vladg. It's insanely good, and maybe I just saved you a bunch of cash.

    Google George Yohng's free limiter...very Waves-ish.

How did you lose access to the waves plugins ? I had a similar problem but waves support restored my access to the Gold bundle, with just one piece of info from an old invoice. I had to get the update plan, but that got me a lot more plugins and 64 bit versions, so I have L1, and I got the L2 and L3 in separate sales. I like the L2 (you want limiter advice) and it's very popular. I like the L3 also and often split the duty between both. Don't hit them too hard though. Limiter 6 isn't bad either. If you just want to compress, I like The Glue, API 2500, Neve 33609 (UAD). I also find the Waves RComp to be quite the Swiss Army knife. If I come across some extra cash, and the Dbx160 goes back down to 99 dollars, it just seems to do something to drums (make them pop) very nicely. That's my nickels worth

Another +1 for Limiter 6. Very capable for a free plug.

I still use L2 a lot for quick and dirty "mastering" duties. I really like it. I don't do a lot of limiting on instruments generally but I have a few, concrete limiter seems pretty decent there and works well in Sonar. What do you mainly need the limiter for?

Limiter 6 is definitely a good option. Can't beat the value there. I would get it even if you invest in Waves or Izotope.

As good as I know Limiter 6 is, for me, it's just not quick and intuitive to set up. Personally, I find it confusing.

My advice, DON'T buy because it's the last day of a sale.... there's always another and figure what sings for you... I own lots... only use Fab's beyond PC modules.

It is analogous to sitting someone in front of SONAR who is not used to seeing "everything exposed," but is worth the time investment to learn. Typically, as more parameters are exposed to the user, the cost of the product goes up as well (but Limiter 6 has no graphical plot embedded either). For "tinkering with a limiter," this is probably a sound starting point. The presets are good (some overzealous), but these presets can be readily tweaked/saved as desired. "Free and functional" makes it worth having even if never used.

I really love Fabfilter stuff in general. It's a lot more expensive than Waves sales though. And to be honest, while I have Pro-L, I still turn to L2 for quick "as-loud-as-the-competition" duties.

IDK about all those other tools and I now own the Concrete Limiter which is quite nice and easy to use but before that I was quite fond of the Blue Tubes limiter that was included in X3.

Maybe check that out if you haven't already because you may find it does what you need and you can toss your cash at something else. It has some simple presets and like most limiters is pretty basic to use. It's not harsh when it limits from what I remember. I don't crush things with limiters though. Just to raise levels and catch any potential overages on a master.

I do use the Concrete Limiter sometimes now to squish bass parts but I'm not sure I even really like doing that.

I use and like the IK limiter, along with various other T-Racks bits. I don't know what the current deal is but I do know that no-one should ever buy anything from them at full price, since there's always a sale or deal of some sort on.

I also use and like Toneboosters' Barricade quite a bit. They never have sales, but the prices are more than reasonable.

MeldaProduction has a free pack of very good plugins. There's a limiter in the pack. They're free but not slouches in quality.
