Needing some help with Dimension Pro

I haven't used Dimension Pro much up to this point.  I'd like to find some tutorials that would equate the audio science with music terminology.  When I look at the Dimension Pro documentation, I see a lot about things like "high pass," "low pass," "vector mixing," and so on, but I'm having a hard time equating that to what it actually does to the sound of, say, my piano.  For example, I am working with a piano sample, and I would like to make a section more legato.  In the past, I have done a lot with the Garritan instruments, but they can be limited, especially in the keyboard instruments.  I really like some of the sounds in Dimension, but I don't know how to manipulate the knobs and buttons to get to the musical sound I'm looking for.  If someone could point me in the directions of tutorials that would make that kind of connection, I would appreciate it.  Thanks!
