Neptunes "Lush String Sound"

Anyone know how to recreate that Neptunes lush string sound used in countless songs such as LL cool J "Love you better", and Jay Z "Excuse me miss", and Nerd "Bobby James".

The strings are kind of weird because they sound pretty realistic (because of lots of inner motion or something), but you can tell they are synthetic, but you can't tell if they are sampled or synthesized.

Also a certain type of effect is on the strings (I think) like some type of reverb, chorus/flanger, or unison effect. Any help will be appreciated.

If I remember the Jay-Z song I think you are talking about, it was definitely flanging that gave it that sort of robotic sound. For a thick, lush string sound, try layering sections together. For example, layer a cellos patch, violins patch, viola patch to create a full strings patch.
