Can't argue with the mix and the performances are all up to snuff as well. I think it's great that you guys can come together over the interwebbery and collude like this. Well done! I probably shouldn't share that my very first thought was "this sounds a bit like RUSH!" which is one of my favorite bands. I think the guitar work in your song brought that to mind. But as I listened further in, I got derailed by the lyrics, and I began to envision another favorite heavy metal band doing your song. Yes, lyrically, once I thought of Spinal Tap, I could just not let that thought go. Apologies if that reference brings you down, but I consider it a compliment. Just my opinion but your lyrics are very Tappish here, which is fun, unless you were trying to be super serious about your nerve endings, in which case, I've just peed in your cornflakes, sorry. cheers, -Tom

You really just wanted to post the Spinal Tap bit, didn't you Tom . Thanks for the attempt at leavening that with the Rush thing though (we sound absolutely bugger-all like Rush )

Thanks for all for the positive feedback, gents. It's really fun doing these collaborations New challenges for me every time Didn't bring me down being referenced towards Spinal Tap, and especially not Rush

Ha! Spot on, but twas true a bit of Rush floated through my brain. The Tap reference was far too compelling for me and perhaps I went too far there. But one does tire a bit of reading "Great Job" "Terrific Stuff" "Really Cool" ad infinitum. So Rush or no Rush, I can say you clearly did a much better job on a song that is much better than a parody. However if the Tap did it, it would be a great parody song indeed. OK, quitting whilst a behind. -Tom

Sounds a very nice mix and recording of this genre. The vocal is very affected. Not sure about it. It may be how the genre treats vocals somewhat. My mate is a big Coheed & Cambria fan, and Devon Townsend etc. This is what I'm reminded of here. Nice production indeed.

@montezuma Regarding the vocal treatment, I don't know genre from genies or jeans. I just mix/fx Ken's vocals until we're all happy (but especially Ken ) Thanks for the kudos on the production. It is a group effort for sure.
