That would depend on the content of the rest of the album. From what I have heard from you so far, I would put this low on my list of songs to include. You have far better IMO.

Definitely, Frank.  While Shad may be correct that many of your other tunes are "better," I think that in the context of an album of all those other fine songs, this one can still stand on its own.  It sets an entirely different mood, and, again, in the context of your other material, will be a nice change up mood and pace wise.  Just one guy's opinion.

If you have no other instrumentals, yes.

It's not the best I've heard from you Frank. I mean, it's great and all (besides the sax being way too loud) but, I would think your "fans" want to hear you sing...

Errr.. no... not sing over an instrument track... Robby, you did read Tim's post right? He said "if you have no other instrumental tracks, yes". I think he was saying he prefers a track with Frank singing over this one. I am replying for him mostly to show that what he said did in fact make sense. When read correctly. - edit - just saw the post by Tim on Robby and Ed's song. Now I understand.

I think Scotty makes a valid point, and I think I made a valid pint. And BAPU's points are always valued. "Some" of Mooch's points are not valid. Most of Freddy's are? Most of TIMI's are. There are others who make valid posts too. I hope this post is valid. It's after midnight here, please take that in to consideration. Still though? I believe I made valid points.

I think Beyonce had some valid points at the superbowl half time... I really enjoyed her points (they were valid.)

Indeed. I think we all made valid points. I think I am also caught in a cross post lashback I should have foreseen, and will end any further part in it at this time.

A cross post lashback? I'm afraid religion is strictly forbidden? Discussion of crosses, and lashes and whatnot, is spelled out in some detail? I'm surprised you're not in the know on all of this Shad? You see, it seems we're supposed to refrain from controversy? And or "controversial issues?" It feels controversial to even bring it up? Although having my back "lashed" may not be all that bad under the right circumstances?

WAIT!? Are we talking about the same thing?

    (Sorry Frank... many apologies.)

I'm sorry for that right there Lord... And please be with the Pygmies in New Guinea.

I'm just in from our regular Tuesday night jam session, and I'm feeling like I've missed a party...

Thanks for all the comments everyone...

I am sensing some tension... and I think I know why... Ironically this music started off as a vocal tune I wrote for Imogen Heap, and was transformed into an instrumental, unlike another that evolved the other way around...

The sax is way too loud... really?

For the record Frank, no tension here and I even sent a PM to Tim on his remark in my thread and hopefully he sees I was not offended.

Just wanted to clear that up.

It behooves us all to remember opinions are just that, opinions; and I for one try to only deal with the opinions on technical aspects of mix and (generally) let song structure/style opinions roll off my back.

    Hey, Frank,

Personally, I really like this track, especially the overall "jam" vibe, and I think it sounds great!  On my system, that tasty sax sounds right where it should be for a lead instrument level-wise.

Getting a little confusing around here maybe.

To me Frank, (on a MacBook) the sax is like way too loud. I've noticed this on some of your other tunes with sax in them also.

The track pretty much disappears during saxiness.. Maybe look at your guit lead levels as compared to the sax levels.

It could be my Mac accentuates the sax frequency er sumthin. idunno.

Great playing, really nice mix. Sax and Guitar are perfect. Not fond of the processed drums... I think that's the only thing that would require some tweaking. I used sampled drums all the time...but this one was easily identifiable as an unnatural element of the overall mix. But overall, I enjoyed the listen

Frank, don't be too concerned if it's album worthy.  Just release a double album.  I like the song and the performances very much.  The problem is; you set the bar so high that everyone has a certain expectation of you.  Ignore the rabble.
