Never stop the Music

ORIGINAL: tommydee

Me too... however after a Reason-only writing session last night I worked for 2 hours without hitting stop once and it was freakin' brilliant. I do miss that in Sonar.

I thought I was the only one who wanted this feature in Sonar. I now see, that I am not alone. Anyone else desiring this feature in Sonar, please sign in this thread. I'd just like to take a head count.

If it is of no interest to you, please move along, without posting anything here.
If you would prefer another feature in lieu of this one, again start another thread.

Thanks guys.

Definitely, yes, I'd love to be able to perform all the basic functions (combine clips, transpose, etc.) w/o stopping playback.

Unfortunately, every time I've talked to cakewalk about this (3 or 4 times about this specific issue), they've said they have no plans to allow more functions to be used during playback.

I would love to be able to combine clips without stopping playback.

As of Sonar Platinum, we apparently still can't do this.

Is there a workaround for it, or any plans to allow us to have more on-the-fly functionality?

You can even see it hiccup in the new Joey and Dan drums recording video.
At some point all they do is change a setting and it takes a while for the audio to come back.
