    Looking on that page I found a few updates for Mix Control for my 6i6. 1st gen
    I'm currently running 1.8.128.0 which seems fine. it's dated 2010. 
    On the beta site there is a 3.2.2 which say's for USB 2.0 devices only. Dated 08/07/2015
    Then the newest 1.9b12 which is a firmware update and looks scary. 03/07/2016 
     
    Because I have no issues I'm not sure about the firmware update. But I will try the Mix Control update as that can easily be rolled back. Only item of interest is they are mumbling something about the buffer settings. I don't like the currant system which uses the Ms, as in I set it to 10ms and get a 256 buffer. 
     
    Any 6i6 1st gen users try the firmware update yet?

    Thanks for letting us know.  I have a 1st gen 6i6, 8i8 (unused) and 18i20. 
     
    Background if it helps:  there are three things involved: the device driver, the USB driver, and the MixControl software.  For anyone interested, the MixControl for 2nd gen will not run on a 1st gen device. 
     
    I have experimented with Focusrite beta drivers before, to try to eliminate clicks and pops.  I still have a click at the start of playback, which I attribute to using 24 bit recording in SONAR and 16-bit elsewhere.  I got into a situation where the beta driver made things worse, and Support helped me to roll back.  They were excellent and fast, but the rollback wasn't one step; several steps had to be followed including Device Manager.

    Software: Cakewalk by Bandlab; Adobe Audition; Band-in-A-Box audiophile; Izotope Ozone; Encore; Melodyne; Win 10 Pro, 64-bit.

    Hardware: Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd; Roland Integra-7; TCE Finalizer; Presonus Central Station, Behringer X-Touch.  Home built i7 with 16 GB RAM, SSDs.

    I sometimes have a issue where Windows audio cuts out and I have to reset the device by right clicking the volume icon in the system tray and using the properties dialog. Then again that was happening with the previous beta

    I installed it last evening, but didn't get a chance to test anything out......will report back once I do. The only 2 issues I had with the previous (official) release was:
     
    1) Sonar's playback engine would randomly stop.....all I had to do was press the spacebar and it would work
    2) I would sometimes get random Sonar.exe has stopped working and Sonar had to be restarted (didn't happen very often though). I just unplug/replug the USB on the 2i4 and all was well.
     
    Other than that, it was fine.....(of course, none of this happened when I had Win8 & Win8.1)
