New Asus PCI-E Soundcard

I know it has alot of bells and whistles that Pro Audio users dont need but
I'm wondering how well it would work in Sonar if at all. They have Vista 32 and 64bit WaveRT drivers out.
For 89 bucks its almost worth trying just to test it out.

    I've owned a couple of their MOBOs, they were first rate products. Cheap sound cards usually have driver issues, sound bad. A serious software vendor won't provide much help for cards like this. I'd walk away from this thing.

    From a test I just read it actually blows away any soundblaster, but because of the proprietary EAX from Creative it cannot support anything newer than EAX 2.0 - making it pretty useless for games. But on all other fronts its a much better mobo sound replacer for the money than an SB, so if you don't care for games much, this could be worth your while.

    Looks like the Xonar D2X is even better. It ships with Sonar LE too. If you go to the driver page, it also talks about ASIO in the driver notes, so this thing could work pretty well by the looks.

    EDIT: And it has MIDI on a separate bracket - nice.
