New BandLab and CbB updates available
New BandLab (3.1.0) and CbB (2018.05 build 19) updates available.
Not sure what has been changed/fixed, but successfully downloaded, installed and working on my DAW in a couple of minutes.

Where is the changelog? I have been experiencing many crashes with third party plugins in CbB build 31. It seems that Bandlab released a free product to evade doing things professionally. I mean; we don't now the roadmap of the company, the web and the forum are under construcction, Bandlab isn't being transparent with Cakewalk and the releases are crashy even with minor changes. This is the plan to rescue Cakewalk? Can an audio professional rely on a product like this?

When did the Quadcurve EQ lose all its Knobs in Prog Channel strip ?. still there when popped out.

Installed nicely here...
Though it took me a moment to notice, there is a progress bar for the BA updater now.... A thin red line at the top of the app... Thanks!
First look ...Addition of colored strips to all themes... Nice touch. Now to see how I like it colored again.... I've been enjoying the quiter look for my eyes, but I'm trying it with a very minimal amount of color. Faster for my eye to locate tracks, but not bright and harsh on my eyes?
Time will tell...
Other items updated in it yet to be explored...

Thank you for the update. Never thought I'd see colored strips in the Tungsten theme. Now, along with the darker piano roll (Yes, I know some don't like it), the interface is close to perfect for me.

Can an audio professional rely on a product like this?
I just recorded narration for two videos with it. No crashes, no issues, still the best workflow for narration. So I guess the answer is yes  Congrats to Noel & Co. for keeping the updates coming.

These improvements have definitely slowed down my transition to Reaper to a snailpace. - Enable/disable Auto Track Focus in Piano Roll view
- Move/copy notes between tracks in Piano Roll view
- Show custom channel strip colours in all themes
- Phase and Mono/Stereo Interleave buttons in Track view
- Language switching within Cakewalk by BandLab
- Synth rack is now theme-able and works with any custom theme
- Clean Audio Folder enhancements

I'm liking this up date a lot already . Thank you Bakers ... I for one love having the ability to go all kindergarten w my track colors ..  This used to happen to me sometimes in Plat ...I would get my time line showing & moving while in console mode ... It seems to be happening w the newest version of Cakewalk ..  does any one know what's up w that ? all the best, Kenny

Although I still don't feel inclined to install the BL version on my DAW pc, out of curiosity I thought I'd d/l the latest version on my www pc to have a look. So far, opening the already installed BA I was asked if I wanted to install the new update ( currently 3.0.9) so I said yes. An hour later nothing had changed and app version still shows 3.0.9. I decided to forget that and moved on to the install new version of CW option. After agreeing to this the only indication that anything was happening at all was a pulsating "downloading 2/2", so I let it do it's thing, popped out and ran a marathon, returned and saw that "downloading 2/2" was still pulsating away so decided to go and have a shave. At some point while I was shaving pulsating "downloading 2/2" changed to pulsating "installing". So I waited............. eventually Billy Gibbons came by and told me that my new beard length was frankly getting a bit ridiculous, so I popped upstairs to attend to my massive facial hair and when I came back clean shaven from that to check progress was greeted with ..........................."installing..."  For some reason I've lost interest again.

Then I updated to the latest version build 19= No issues.
Works great.
Well done all. Speed for downloading is also improved tremendously.

Seeing the same thing here when overlaying the console view over the track view. I can live with it though since the track colors are sure pretty...

I think Move and Copy notes between tracks in piano roll is a great add. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the update ! Can I ask here for one Console view gui update? Please exchange the Pre and Post send buttons with the Enable / Disable switches. Seeing your sends enabled at a glance ( or not seeing that they're dis-abled )has much more value in my opinion than the PRE / POST switch visability. To me that's usually set and forget. Just 2 cents.

So I've seen that other people have had this issue and I can't remember if there was a solution to it, but my Bandlab Assistant is just showing me a loading screen and not letting me do anything. I've uninstalled and re-installed it and it still shows me the loading screen. Has there ever been a solution to this found? or is it just in time it'll correct itself?

I love the new update BandLab... The Track Colors was the reason I didn't want to use Tungsten, but now I can use that them now. I still the last version of Sonar Platinum on my home compute as my DAW, however, I use Cakewalk by BandLab on my laptop while I am noodling around.
I still have some 32 bit stuff that I love using.
