hey, thanks arlen.. i did that painting.... it's pretty crude, i'm not a painter, but i had a clear vision..... the idea is either: falling from the light to the dark, or, rising from the dark to the light. viewer decides which way works for them......

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Clear vision. Crude or not, I know there are many that wish their "crude" material looked that good. I like to look at it as rising from the darkness into the marvelous light. Just my optimistic approach to things.

Impressive! Very nice job.
Am I correct in thinking this is basically a solo effort? You have some nice changes, which impresses me a lot when doing it a track at a time. Still impressive even if done with a group.

Congrats, Bats. Checked out "Some Time". Hard to believe I haven't listened to your stuff until now after taking so much of your advice to heart over the past couple years. The insights carried a lot of weight though and as I suspected you are damned good at what you do. I can hear a lot of cool influences (a lot of my own) in there and the sound is damned fine. Awesome stuff, best of luck and thanks for all your help around here. PS: Is it weird I think your voice sounds exactly like that album art implies?

thanks man, it IS a big accomplishment, for me....... spread the word, get some folks to buy in!! heheh KenB123 Impressive! Very nice job. Am I correct in thinking this is basically a solo effort? You have some nice changes, which impresses me a lot when doing it a track at a time. Still impressive even if done with a group.
thank you ken.... yes, this is almost entirely a solo effort. but, for example, the last song on the album, "Heaven", was actually co-written by our very own cakewalker Wookiee..... he wrote the music, i added lyrics and vocals and guitar parts... but on everything else, all of the instrumentation, vocals, engineering, production (minus mastering on this one) is done by myself. that's part of the reason it took a while.... it is dirt easy for me to knock out tracks..... literally, they fly off the cuff. but, to PRODUCE it, to decide what sucks, or is worthy, takes a great deal of time, little by little, and working a full time 'regular' job, does not allow me much time to experiment. Beepster Congrats, Bats. Checked out "Some Time". Hard to believe I haven't listened to your stuff until now after taking so much of your advice to heart over the past couple years. "some time" is a pretty good representation of several different styles, but every song on the album sounds different from this one...... the art? well, i'm not an artist, per se, but it is a representation of myself, so that kind of makes sense. please spread the word, i need to sell these things!! LOL

Hi, I'm always glad to see when any of our folks get something done and get it out. We need more of them being done. I wish I could add something to any of this work, but it's not in the cards I don't think!

Hi, As soon as I am done purging the majority of my LP collection, I plan on getting many CD's from the CH forum. I have a tendency to not get many of these things, because too many of them sound the same as so much top ten music, and I like more variety ... and I mean variety, not talk! But there are several CD's that will definitely be bought ... and yeah, Julibee's is definitely one, Susan's is another ...
