New Cakewalk / old issue with comping.... Would like feedback on this. Thank you.
Hi Meng & team / fellow users. Downloaded Cakewalk by Bandlab. Everything went ok as far as installation goes. But, my biggest nemesis with Cakewalk is not resolved.I wrote about the issue couple of times, but strangely got no reasonable response. I use Cakewalk mainly for vocal tracking and I need to be able to record 30 or more take lanes in one track. The problem is when comping, NEW take lanes would be placed in empty spaces of MUTED take lanes if they have a spot for it. Why in the world I would want NEW material on MUTED take lanes?? I know there are some workarounds, but NONE are for me.I wanted to support Bandlab by getting a mug or shirt , but not having an option of NOT recording to muted take lanes... I do not see any reason for future paid upgrades or plugins unless this thing is addressed. Cakewalk main muscle is workflow, and this issue is just mind boggling to me.Same goes for MIDI. New content would be placed in MUTED take lanes if they have "spot" for it.
Philosphy is: If I mute take lane = I do not want to hear it. Why would new recorded content be placed there?
Including a photo in attachment, a visual explanation if I am not making sense verbally.
