New Computer struggles!

Hello users:  I have a new system.  I am trying to get sound after finishing all the SONAR downloading.  NOTHING!  I have been to the focusrite web-site and downloaded drivers.  I am not sure if my interface is a 1st generation or a 2nd generation.  Scarlett 6i6.
I downloaded and tried BOTH.  Still nothing.  Any suggestions?

Have you checked your preferences in Sonar and made sure you have selected your Scarlett Device?

Check the output in the master bus and make sure it goes to the Scarlett. Also some people are confused by the Focusrite application. Make sure it's configured correctly.

Check that your Focusrite is set to the same sample rate as the sonar project. Are you getting sound from windows coming through ok?

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

A window finally popped up and said change your driver model.  I changed to ASIO and I got sound.  Thanks for steering me the right direction.

You might go to your first post and change the subject to say <solved> so that folks don't keep looking at this thread.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
