New Control Bar (completly re-worked) - Retro HiFi

I wanted to come up with something clear lighter, a bit more colorful and fun than the black band Control bar is. With my dads old 70's Sony HiFi Seperates in mind, I cam up with this. It's not as I originally envisions, but things I liked as I went along kind of shaped it's outcome.

Not all the modules work in smaller sizes, visually. As the control bar has a curved look, when you go to smaller module sizes, some buttons move form the top to the bottom, and shading goes skewiff. It works though.

    Clever and creative...whimsical, too

However it really underscores how great it would be if the Theme Editor let you copy and paste entire folders, or at least ctrl+click on multiple elements, and copy them. That way there could be custom Control Bars, custom Step Sequencers, etc. so you could mix and match. Time for a feature request...unless there's some way to do this I haven't figured out yet.

I think it should be designed by groups. That way we can share elements and not just the whole theme.  Haven't had to play with it much, but downloaded several great themes!  Ya'll keep up the good work  LOL!  With all the tweakers we have here - can't wait to see what will be out there in a few months!!

I agree, especially with the control panel, as this feels like a separate unit to the rest of the UI. As we get more creative ideas we'd want to take difference elements and tweak them together. If on of Oulanders colur schemes suited my control bar, I'd like that in the body of the programme. My other atempt at an edit was all the borders of Track, console, inspector etc. While I wouldn't use that scheme with this one, it shows me what I'd need to edit to create something that integrated,

How do you means groups. Groups of people, or groups of elements?

Swap control bar with other themes.  Swap track view without the whole theme included.

If we could import and and export at folder level, then we'd be able to take anything from and elements of a section to the whole section (with all it's folders within)

I wish I could figure out how to do even simple stuff with the editor. I open up a theme and can't figure out where anything is or what things are called. I really want to do a bit of a mod on the Gold theme from Moslave. Just change the colour on the control bar time display. I can't even find it, so my hat is off to those of you that can actually accomplish something.

By going through a changing everything about a section, you kind of end up figuring everything. A few things though I couldn't see, so posted here. Such as the Tool bar HUD, forgetting it was a pop up tool bar.

Thank, I've found myself looking at UIs differently. The one thing that stands out to me, is the Control panel is jam packed, very efficient use of space, They've really crammed accessibility into it.

I don't know if it would help any but when using Duckbar I found over 400 exe file items that could be color changed - mostly text, lines, screen BGs, view headers and the like. I eventually broke them down by views and posted them on Panu's site. They've since been removed but could be made available as a reference/naming guide which might give you an idea what to look for. They are in xml format but can be read with note pad, spreadsheet or other word processor.... and of course, Duckbar.

I also have a few view "themes" and repaints of various graphics that could be made available. A specific place to upload them to would be great.

Q- How does TE handle TV Control Pane & CV strip backgrounds? Are they .png's or colors? All my edits were for X1-3 and may not jive with Splat the same way.

Ampfixer, I made corrections to the gold theme so if you haven't downloaded it do so again. What do you want to do with the time display? I can mod it for you if you want.

Just added the Control Bar to Mercury. I prefer mercury to Tungsten, I find Tungsten too dark. I think the Control bar sits with Tungsten better.

Just need to decide which theme to edit and tie in to the control bar now. With Mercury, I think I'd need to darken the main borders and maybe change the font colour to tie into control bar.
