New Demo: Stand Strong

Havent been here for a while.
I have recorded a new demo called Strand Strong

https://soundcloud.com/user-621970950/stand-strong

I know mixing is not perfect (not 100% finished) but Im more interested in your oppinion about the song itself.
(I know my voice is not a typically good hard rock voice)
Use speakers not headphones.
Thanks

This is a very good song with a driving guitar and clever arrangement.  The break in the middle was unexpected, and it really caught my fancy.  I think you have a very good voice for this song, but I had trouble understanding the words.  You could boost the vocal, and I'd be happy with this, but that's your call.  I'll be listening to this a few more times because I like it.  Good job.

    All the best,
    Lynn

That vocal needs to come up in the mix other than that all the elements seem to be there.

Even without being able to hear the words, I like it! First I thought Def Leppard, then I thought AC/DC. But it's really neither, it's a little countrified kinda. Definitely a cool as hell guitar riff.

There's a band Agents of Good Roots, they are great, and your voice is that area - it can really work. Turn it up, dude!

Loved the bass percolating and those strings in the middle - very solid chord changes!

Please let know when your mix is finished, I definitely want some of that.

    cheers,
    -Tom

What'd you do with the plosives on this?  It's novel and cool.  Liked the song, maybe a little more dynamics?  Songs are too compressed these days, the millenials all speak monotone.  :D:D

I'd say it's VERY ZZ Top like.  Eliminator days. All it is needs is a Billy Gibbons style guitar solo and it could have been on that album. lol.   Once you get those vocals up, and maybe crisp up the drums a bit, I'd say you have a winner here!
