New Desk for X2

The pro desks are way too expensive for what you get,so I built my own for less than £60.

No more keyboard on a keyboard for me.

Here are some pics.    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyKlzTSmzQ0&feature=youtube_gdata

I'm now ready for x2 and all the free stuff.Wish me luck with the install.

    Looks nice indeed.
I would have gone with dual monitors.
If you are skipping X1, hang on!
Big move from 8.5, worth it though.
Still some "niggles" in X2a, not yet up to X1d standard; here at least...

Nice desk! Congrats on the build. Actually, StudioRTA makes some decent stuff that's not too expensive, but yeah, probably still more than do-it-yourself.

Great looking desk. Always better to design and build your own, if you're able.

X2 works great on one monitor by the way. Multidock is excellent.

    Thanks

Just updated my profile. Been using X1 for a while now and never had any issues, so I think i'll jump into x2.

I may just put a touch monitor on each side and have 3.

Hey that is a really great desk. I need to do something like that. I'm using old school Ultimate Support modular stands... aluminum tubes and collars that go together like tinker toys but the parts are expensive now that they are no longer made.

That's quite a featured spot for such a small Behringer mixer lol !! :)

Still ... the desk is amazing !! Good work !

My girlfriend would be proud of me if I'd ditch my Ikea Jerker desk for one like yours...

    Observation 1.

Desk is beautiful and well crafted.

    Observation 2.

For perfect triangulation of monitors to your head it looks to me that your arms almost 7 feet long. Is that true?

I used an old Ikea shelf unit for most of the desk, one tin of matt black spray paint, three pieces of 44 x 18, four sheets of  Black plastic veneer (surface and sides)

screws, glue and thats about it.

I'm making another one soon for a friend. I'll video the construction and post with all the specs when complete.

    Many Thanks
