New Dim Pro x64 Microhost Sample Rate Set Incorrectly

I installed the Dim Pro v1.5 x64 update, and promptly fired up the standalone microhost to see what that's about. After clicking on the ASIO menu item to see what the options were, and verifying that "E-MU ASIO" (the only interface option) was selected, it reported that it was setting the sample rate to 44.1kHz and storing it in the Windows registry. Problem is, I run my interface at 48kHz. And, sure enough, when I recorded a wave file with the built-in recorder, it created a 44.1kHz file that plays back about a whole step low and slow because my interface is locked at 48kHz, but Dim Pro is writing the file as though it's 44.1.

I don't see an option to change the sample rate in Dim Pro, and a quick search of the registry did not reveal the key where it is storing that.

I probably won't actually have much use for the microhost, but would like to know how to make it work right.

Thoughts?

I noticed that too on an XP x32 system with an E-Mu card.

Other than, for 'standalone' functionality, using Savihost (which I believe is 32 bit only) instead like I was before I can't think of another workaround as yet.

No point for me using Microhost if it is stuck at 44.1kHz

Thanks for the confirmation, Jon. The important thing is that it's working nicely inside SONAR, and the interface controls are responding correctly, unlike in the x64 DXi.

    Hehe.

The only reason I keep the E-Mu at 48k is that it seems to work better that way and I have everything else set to work at that rate now.

But as you say it works inside Sonar nicely and usually I only use standalone when I'm shortlisting patches.

You can change the microhost samplerate using

    F3: 44.1k
    F4: 48k
    Shift+F3: 88.2k
    Shift+F4: 96k
