    Nicely executed performance.
You have a good instrumental bed just begging for a vocal track.
I can picture a female vocalist with a lot of attitude on this.
The mix is a bit squashed, and I think just a bit more brightness would help give it more life. At the moment it is just a little muddy.
There's something really tasty rolling around in the background, starting at 0:49. Is that a keyboard? It teases us a bit, and sounds like it wants to cut loose, but never comes forward. I would like to hear that.
With a little more sparkle, and a vocalist, I think you've got something here.

Thanks for the comment. It could benefit from a re-recording to be sure its a bit muddy cause it needs tightening, also have a hard time making these guitar tones play nice together.. maybe need to balance the gain, etc.

Not sure which part you are hearing at :49 there are 4-5 guitar parts going there and one bass. Actually the whole thing is just guitar bass and drum, no keys on this one.

As Robert said above, I hear a place for vocs at the 40s mark where you can drop some of the layers, refrain the beat, it sounds like it wants vocs there.  Then pick it up - drop layers,  then vocs.  Maybe a **** tempo for a chorus part, a silence, then full layers, tempo, chorus.

cool sounding track sean. nice guitar tone and good opening riff. as you know it needs the vocal line just to complete it. and the vocal will determine what sort of market you are aiming at. to me, sounds a bit like latter-day Sentenced. i have sympathy, vocals are the part i hate doing!

    Sounds good Sean.

I honestly could'nt find anything muddy abaout the mix, but i'm an old school rocker and i understand bands like a more trebely sound these days.

As others have said, it needs vocals and that would give it more direction.

I'm loving that!! I think a big vocal sound like the guy from Wolfmother would be great on here (not sure if you can get him!)

    Really great, rips along nicely.

I disagree. Those guitar tones are playing quite well together.

VERY VERY NICE! I really like this. I do think it needs a slight brightening in the overall sound. The guitars sound great. Like Bob said all this song really needs is a vocal with lots of attitude and you have a piece to be proud of!

I agree that it could use some vox to give it focus. What happened to the guy that did Invisible Sun for you ? Twist his arm and get him to gelp you finish this one. ;)

Wow, impressed. I love it. I think this is in the right of red jump suit apperatus and their style. There's one other band that I'm thinking of but I can't think of their name right now. Very cool stuff.

    Thanks everyone!

Quick aside, is anyone else having issues with the forum and internet explorer 8? I wasn't able to leave any comment until I logged in with Firefox.. anyhow,

Yes I agree it needs vocals but I'm not really a vocalist. I did try to get Steve on the job (the fellow who did Invisible Sun vocals) but I guess he's been drawing a blank creatively. Maybe if I direct him to this thread he will find some renewed motivation :-)
