Hey James, nice rocking groove here. Sounds like you have conquered your kit. Congratulations. I would like to hear the bass follow the guitar key change at 1:30 and 2:30, it would increase the dynamic, but just MO. Really trancendental guitar work, and your drum fills are very classy. Good video title and image...a horsemen galloping along the horizon against a threatening sky.......cool.........nice work all around..............Ron

    Cool stuff guys.

Love the guitar work Scott - awesome licks, and tone to die for.

James, that's some great work on the skins - if anything, I'd bring the levels up a little and maybe EQ a bit more 'snap' into them.

    Very nice

Thanks Steve , I was thinking the same thing about the drum track I created for this tune . Scotty is going to send me his WAV with just his guitar track and I'm going to mess with the track and song from my end raising the drums a bit .
The cymbals need some volume as well .
They seem to be buried behind Scottys track just a bit  , by tweekin with that some I think it will make a big difference .
I will most likey update this version with that new version just a soon as I get the file from Scotty to work with .

Thanks for the listen and comments , it was nice working with Scotty again .

Thanks for the comments on this song I created three months ago , Scotty added much more then expected , I can't thank him enough for all the talent he poured into the project and time .
Adding real guitar to any song project gives the song a big lift and makes the song sound much more interesting .

I put this on while I was unpacking from a trip, and had to come back for a second more attentive listen... it was that kind of good!  Well, Scotty was certainly not fiddlin' around on this one (sorry, couldn't resist the bad pun )  That was some seriously great guitar work, loved the lines as well as the tone.

The percussion track was to die for... genuinely outstanding, and I would echo Strummy's comments on raising the level and maybe adding some eq and compression to really pop those drums out there.

Really great tune and performances, guys!

Hey thankyou everyone for the great comments on this Collaborate song Project between Scotty and I !
I'm sure when Scotty returns he will like all the comments on this song  , He spent a good two months on it working on it off and on and the wait from my end was well worth it .

Hopefull he'll send me his guitar track so I can work with it and remix it , then post it again with some adjustments on my drum track .
When I first sent him the song as a WAV file , he had no way to make volume corrections on the drum track I created for this song .
The only way to fix it is for him to send me his guitar track so I can add it to Project 5 and then work with it .

    Thanks : Rik

Thank you all for the nice reviews. Radio surprised me and posted my scratch mix. I just sent him a new mix and I hope it is an improvement. I'll be sending him the guitar trax to fiddle with as he sees fit. Yep, I couldn't resist that pun either, Phil. LOL

    Hi, James,

What a great collab, this is really excellent!

You did an amazing job on this. And, Scotty's smokin' hot guitar solos and killer tone sound fantastic riding the top of your nicely textured keyboards and hard driving electronica beat. Great sounding mix, too.

    Really good stuff, guys!

I'd like to start out by commending James on his newly-found patience, and lord knows he had to have a lot of patience to wait me out as long as he did. It took me a while to get to this project, and once I was in it, life stuff kept pulling me away from it but James just hung in there with me until I finally got my tracks laid down. The drum and keyboard tracks that James produced here are really well done and I got a lot of pleasure from working with such a superb sounding track. I'm glad that I got the mix right and to his liking. Thank you, James for being patient with me and thanks again everybody for your kind words! I'm truly flattered!

To NoNat - Marcos69 - Bob Oister - Grandpa Tunes , thanks for the nice comments on the finished song " Horseman " .
The final mix Scotty turned out great , thanks for turning this tune into winnner !

yea I'm not like most of you guys and gals who have a working life  , me on the other hand I have be disabled for 15 years now so I don't work .
Sometimes as many of you know I have loss my cool with myself and with others , taking strong meds will do that to you .
But Scotty hung in there with me , there were times I thought hey did he bail out on me . I e-mailed him after a month and a half dealing with a bad flu-like upper respiratory  illness .
The wife had the same thing and we both played hell trying to get rid of it .
I pretty much slammed on the brakes with creating any songs .  Taking some strong med's from the hospital doctors and my private doctor we finally both recovered . Yea after all that bad stuff going on I e-mailed Scotty again checking in with him and he said he was still working out the final details adding his guitar lead to the song .

Man all the lights went on and I'm thinking cool I know he got something of a surprise that going to make this song rock .
When I received the first mix I thought wow man this sounds great !
At the time I was using my headphones and sort had some if's on the mix .
I took a listen using my new monitor speakers and thought hey this sounds better so thats why I posted his first mix , I didn't realize he was planning on mixing it one more time .

Anyway to cut this long dragged out story short I think Scotty nailed it on that second mix .
If I had mixed it the second mix would had been my choice too but in the beginning I replied with why don't you do the final mix .
Nice piece of work Scotty with everything !  Scotty I might have another song that you might enjoy working on down the road this year .

Cheers everyone and thanks again for all of the great comments !
