New Impulse Response Program

I am a Beta tester for AcmeBarGig. They are a start up company that is making great freeware and paid products. And I have been with them for about a year now testing many different programs. One of the products is a program called iFace. This program allows you to  use free and paid for speaker impulse responses (IR). I had never heard of IR's except for the ones for Perfect Space that comes with Sonar.

Then I got into Speaker Cabinets IR through my relations with ABG. I am really excited about what these IR's do for my recordings. I am only a hobbiest, but I can easily see what these could do for some of the people here. So I copied the companies description of iFace from another website and decide to post it here as a service to my fellow forum members who may be like I was a year ago. Someone who never went to any other music forum except this one.

Again I am not making money, nor am I trying to sell something. My intent is to get the word out about this great piece of free software and to help other members of this forum.

Here is the link to the info:

This is also a great place to learn about amp sims. For all you guitar and synth players!!

I tried it, I un-installed it. It froze Sonar.

I think it's because it's 32 bit though. I don't know why a new company would start off by making old tech. Granted, while it did work, it sounded good. It may work better on 32 bit machines or just 32 bit Sonar. The UI is to small though.

I hope they make it 64bit and a bigger UI. Great idea. I've used AcmeBarGig before. Good stuff.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

As I don't use 64bit, I do know of several people who use this software on 64bit DAW's.

And yes the ABG team has really done some real good stuff. One of my favorites is the Red Shift Pickup sim. They also have several speaker/cabinet emulation programs that works wonders with not only guitars but synths as well.

I can't get 1.06 to save in a WAV format that will allow me to convert it to an Axe-Fx SYX file. The WAV needs to be 48 KHz but I don't see where you can set that option in 1.06.

solved: forgot to change DAW to 48kHz.
