I would have to say the most progressive piece that I've heard from you. Really interesting changes and very musical phrasing and superb emotive bends displaying great bending discipline. I like how it starts out a bit conservative with the opening progression, a touch of Jazz, the great phrasing and Jazz changes that follow really take you on an unexpected but delightful musical journey. Great tone and style

Hi Mark, Glad you're back around these parts. Say, if you're not at the very least playing a gig or two out, you certainly could be. You definitely have that guitar nailed...a lot like batsbrew, you two have both the recording chops and the playing technique to go places. This is no exception . Wonderful!

Hi Tim, good to see you again. Thanks for the compliment. I was gigging pretty much every weekend for about 3 years, that's why I wasn't around here anymore. I've got a herniated disk in my neck though and can't tolerate playing live anymore and lugging gear around. Surgery coming up in Oct. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to playing live after that.

Mark, As always you never leave a person wondering what just happened. You always try to take your music experience to the next level and in this piece you did just that. I do hope your neck gets better, just like I hope I loose this cancer, so my fingers stop tingling 24/7 and I can play my guitars again. I had to sell my Les Paul, but I still have some fine guitars left. Will, most likely have to sell my 1971 Gibson SG1, but that should get me a pretty penny. Will help with doctors payments. Anyway, great piece with some awesome guitar work and have your signature mixing skills incorporated right in to the piece. Very nicely executed. Peace and Blessings, John

Overall the tune and mix sound good. But I was mostly distracted by the guitar lead - a bit Satriani-ish IMO and so smooth and melodic. Great tone too. I really liked those descending changes in the second half...

Great clarity, love how the bass sound sits so well with everything. What kind of bass is that? The tone is so warm and mooshy while being nicely defined. There are just a few bits where things feel kind a bit loose to my ear right at the beginning of the piece, but that seems to me to be more of a subjective thing. Really wonderful mix and nice playing! Good luck with your surgery, you need to be playing out.

Guitar playing is great bud, I like how you break from the pentatonic and go to a chromatic scale in parts. Guitar tone is great too. I could tell the drums were looped, that's fine. Bass was good though a little more presence in the 1-3k range would give you some clarity/punch on it, unless being set back was the goal. Nice job.

Thenks Kevin. Bass is an Ibanez SR705 5 string. I just got it during this recording and redid my bass using the new one. Thanks for the good luck wishes. Surgery is Oct. 7. i've already got a band lined up for after my recovery. We'll have 2 lead guitarists...get this...the other guitarist is my old teacher. We are going to be awesome. Thanks Chuck. That chromatic part started as a bass exercise. Funny how songs develop.

Nice one Marcos! Excellent playing all around. I think the bass msay be pushed too far back, and the kick could use more "oomph" to beef up the low end. Otherwise, I like everything else. Regards, Dan

Hey Mark; Really like this a lot. You have a really nice tone on all the guitars for their purposes. The main melody is tight and catchy and I found myself humming it in my head after listening. The one change in mode at around the 1:00 minute mark caught me a little off guard and didn't feel to me like it sat well...it did resolve back to the main very well with the final couple arpeggiated licks...that was spot on and I really liked that. Very cool mood and fine playing all around. I liked the balance of the instruments in the piece also. I really enjoyed the listen :) Dan Scheffki
