New Issue

So composing new piece, have one instance of Kontakt, one instance of AD2, and one instance of Arturia. In the middle of recording audio engine keeps dropping out. The CPU usage and Ram indicators are both very low.   I have a Phenom x4 12 gigs ram and tascam 2x2 with latest drivers (soon to be focusrite forte).   The sample it keeps choking on is from Kinetic Metal if it matters.  Thank you friends.

I seem to notice some weirdness in sample players (Kontakt, Play) causing dropouts in this update also. Same situation: I started a new project from scratch. I added a modest amount of sample player VSTs (an amount I usually wouldn't even consider in the realm of possibility of causing a dropout) and I'm getting dropouts. There was another weirdness I noticed:  I routed several tracks into an Aux track. After a bit the Aux track stopped transmitting audio to the buss. I tried reloading the project, reassigning the outputs ... etc  I had to reroute the tracks directly to a buss in order for the  audio to reappear in the mix. Maybe I should have waited a bit before installing this update.

So I let the kinetic metal/kontakt instance be (loaded into the synth rack but not played), loaded an instance of EW Play Gypsy...and that worked fine.  So it must be just certain sample libraries that cause it to go hooey.
