New Laptop Recommendation...

I am just waiting for my divorce settlement to come through and then I am going to buy myself some new toys. Some of which are going to be Sonar Producer X1 + Steven Slate Drums. I will probably also buy some new speaker monitors.
 
If I am going to set that up, I think I should also by a new laptop that is 100% dedicated as a DAW. I am after some recommendations. I can obviously read the system requirements but my current laptop meets those requirements and I constantly get drop outs and reasonably high latency and can only record on the "relaxed normal" latency setting for my Audiobox USB interface. What do I need? What are the "must haves"?
 
Fast processor?
Mega RAM?
 
Any others?

SHSXL6 on laptop with Intel i5 CPU M480 @ 2.67 GHZ 2.67GHz 4G RAM (2.86 usable?) 32Bit operating system on Windows 7 -> Presonus USB Audiobox.

    CPU: Quad Core i7
    OS: Windows 7 64 BIT
    RAM: 8GB at least
    Multiple Hard Drives:  64MB Cache if possible.  The higher cache the better. 7200 RPM is fine for HDD .  SSD Drive is better.
