New MultiDock Tab Features

I request that the tabs in MultiDock are able to:

1. Have the ability to be grouped so that related tabs (like a VSTs piano roll, itself, and it's FX) can stick together.

2. Are movable. This way a tab's location isn't set in stone.

3. Can be color coded; preferably to the colors of the tracks themselves, though some may not want it like that.  This way, a VST and/or its related tabs can be found quicker.

4. Can be stackable.  To help with groupings and so on, this can help free up space in the MultiDock.

Also, it'd be nice to be able to have a scrolling feature to navigate the tabs faster.

I second all of these however the request has come up previously. One item that you are missing in your list is the ability to rename the tabs to something shorter which would take less room and enable more tabs in less space.

Thanks for posting the link Kev. That's my point - it came up at least twice before, then someone starts a new list that may have one or two more new ideas, but misses some others, etc etc. in a perfect world, users would search the forum first then add to existing feature request threads to avoid this kind of thing. Not easy, and not perfect, but eh..

    Okay, thanks for indicating that.

Also I just remembered one more thing:

    5. Please make the 32-bit VST/plugins in 64-bit mode dockable in MultiDock. (I often work in 32-bit mode just out of convenience of this).

If I could quick group a number of smaller GUIs, like some of the FX, and have them tile into a single MD tab I would be really, really impressed.  And Happy!

Combine tiling with scrolling and ... excuse me a minute ...

These are all good, and I previously requested tabs in the MultiDoc retain their height once set. Big time saver.

I like this idea a lot.
