New Music Video - "The Dark"
New Music Video "The Dark" Hi, Guys, Just in time for Halloween, here's the first video from my new CD "Light And Shadows" that came out a few weeks ago. The song is a Goth style rocker called "The Dark": http://youtu.be/g-d6p8EaTP0 If you get a chance to check it out it, please let me know what you think! Sincere Thanks, and Best Wishes! Bob

Enjoyed that Bob, great stuff! Good vid for one of your best songs (IMO). Love the dynamics in this track, the drop-down to bass, drums and vocs after the intro, then that clean-ish guitar with the delay that comes in at 1:00 for example, that's just perfect. Solo is very tasty too, I got a little Iommi vibe in the phrasing.

WOW!! That was awesome Bob and DARK for sure. Lots of good guitar working out on this with that dark sound coming through and spanking me right against my head. The video fit the piece just right and the title as well. The vocals were telling the story how she was afraid of the dark. Hope she can get past that and move on. Nice one. Peace and Blessings, John

Classic bit of Bob nicely done as always. Good arrangement, the polished performance and the production comes across well here. Thanks for sharing

when you watch a bob oister video, you know what you get: big guns, sleeveless shirts, and the mystic drummer that hides his face behind the cymbals (I swear I have seen the mystic drummer in your previous videos) . and great guitar work, a crystal-clear production and cool songs! keepon bringing them up!

Sweet paint job on that guitar. Man I love your sound..... so fat. Well done. Easily my favorite tune from you to this point.... Compressed but it sounds good for that genre. I started out wanting to be a heavy metal guitarist when I was younger..... Sabbath and other similar groups..... then I started playing country rock and making good money at it and fell in love all over again..... but I still have that special place in my heart for the heavier stuff and this tune fills that spot quite nicely. Good job.

My favorite to date, Bob. Excellent sound and video. Man, that bass player looks just like you. Is that possible? LOL! Looks like I need to scrape some BOB money together again! I loved everything about this one.

james1213: Hi, James, It's really great to hear from you, my friend, hope you're doing well! Thank you so much for checking out the video and for the very kind words and compliments! Yes, sir, Black Sabbath and Tony Iommi were a big influence for me when I was first learning to play guitar. Paranoid was actually the second song that I ever tried to sing in my 7th grade band. LOL, after everybody else gave it a shot, I croaked it out and ended up being the lead singer in the band. Much appreciated, James, I'm sincerely grateful for your input, friendship and support, and I hope you're Headscape project is coming along well for you! Best Wishes! Greatly appreciated, my friend, thank you for your support on my posts here on the forum, and have a super weekend! Bob ===================================== Guitarhacker: Hey, Herb, How are you, buddy? Hope you're doing great! Thank you so much Herb, for taking time to check out the video, and for your very encouraging comments! I really appreciate your kind words, especially coming from one of the best songwriters and producers here on the forum! I definitely know where you're coming from, Herb. When I first started learning guitar, I was learning to play everything from Cream, Hendrix, Sabbath and Zeppelin, to The Beatles, The Stones, The Doors, The James Gang, Allman Brothers and Grand Funk. But I always gravitated to the volume and power of the heavier stuff because it always instantly energized me. LOL, so, I ended up playing in hard rock and metal bands for decades and loved every minute of it! Although, I did do my fair share of Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, The Eagles and the Dead over the years also. Thanks again, Herb, and have a great weekend! Bob ====================================== evadianepug: Hey, Warren, Thanks very much, buddy, I really appreciate you checking it out and your very kind words! LOL, yeah, that bass player is my "Evil Twin"! Your new Pugtones Halloween song "Graveyard Dance", with Mark and Bill was fantastic, great stuff, as always from you guys! I'm really happy that you like the video, and always look forward to and really appreciate your input, observations and support on my song posts! Have a Rockin' weekend, Warren!
