Usually sells for $150, so pricewise it's obviously an enormous discount. No dongles, that's a plus. You get both 32- and 64-bit versions, another plus. Unfortunately, they are pretty ordinary plugins that don't offer anything you don't already have in SONAR's bundled effects.

Yea, these are the only things from Nomad I don't like or use. They are OK, but older and nothing you probably don't already have. One of the secrets of Nomad is their rock amp legends sim. It is good and like a lot of their stuff "darker." Use Guitar Rig on a guitar and want the rhythm to be different? Stick the Nomad sim on it. And works great on vocals and other non-guitars. @

AT I agree totally with this - I have tried these but nothing special - I do have some other Nomad Stuff which are real go to's - The new Magnetic Tape Sim and I still use their Oil Can Echo (think that's the name, not near my DAW at the moment) on most projects some where or other and still use the odd compressor and EQ from time to time. Also +1 about the Guitar Amp Simulator - I don't have this but have tried it in the past and thought it sounded good - but was always very expensive and I have and use Flying Haggis (oldy but goody I think) - now if Nomad did a no brainer on this......... Great feedback! I saw this when it came in as an email last night. If the plugs are nothing out of the ordinary, I'll pass on them. I use the cakewalk defaults and have Ozone so I was thinking that unless these are really spectacular, there is no point in getting them. Thanks.... Lets see what the next "no brainer deal" is from audiomidi.

No, they are good, but nothing you don't have in Cakewalk. And it certainly is a lot for $15. And they are bright and shiny. Hell, if I keep this up I may talk myself into buying for the money and I already have them! @

Well my big question is how are these plugins on the CPU? I mean, I am still running Sonar PE 8.5 on an 3.2GHz P4 WinXP 32 (SP2) system, with 4GB Ram. Although my PC keeps up with most processing, running the Sonar, Ozone, or IK Multimedia FX plugins cripple my system. So my thought process is that while I may already have some similar Cakewalk plugins, if the Liquid Bundle II is going to have similar plugs that are good on the CPU, $15 isn't bad for me to shed. So anyone have any CPU results for liquid bundle II stuff?

Yes, how many ordinary effects do you need, even if it's only $15. I would rather save my money for more extraodrinary effects. Like maybe checking out the Fab Filter stuff. Or the portico stuff from Stienberg or native SSL stuff and I STILL don't have my UAD 2 quad. Damm, I need to make more money...

Whereas post count (or is it Count Post) matter not to me, plugin count is paramount. I bought it just so I could add to my list on my website.

Hey Baps, when you authorized and you got your email stating such did you get two emails back to back with time stamps about 2 minutes apart each saying you had burned up 1 of your four authorizations even tho you only authorized once?? Cause I did.

I got this today. Tried out the delay. Simple and straight forward, though I only saw delay times in BPM and couldn't find anywhere to change it to ms. Overall, I do like the GUI on this plug. I had no problems with the authorization process, by the way. Jim

You won't get an authorization code email until you go online with the "authorization tool" and request it...then it's supposed to be downloaded to your desktop or downloads file. Then you are supposed to click "read license" in the authorization dialog and then open the downloaded authorization file. Only in my case what happened was that Windows Explorer was not letting the authorization file download and was giving me a message as such in tiny print just below my IE toolbar...which I did not notice as I'd already had one martini and several glasses of a very fine Shiraz. So I burned up all my authorizations trying to download a (blocked) file. No matter as Nomad as gracious enough to restore my authorizations today. But before that I even tried authorizing it using my already existing authorizations for my other Nomad stuff. Which, caused several things to revert to "demo" mode. I am really good at screwing other peoples "simple" plans up. Still, no problem to get everything back: just re-authorize them. Only when I did re-authorize them I got not one but two immediate emails from Nomad saying I had burned two authorizations for every one I did. It's a bug in their authorization process. I gave them a heads up today to which they replied: "Your authorizations have been reinstated". I really thought I might be doing them a favor by pointing out that their authorizer software was burning extra authorizations for customers needlessly. But maybe not.

JAB3 Well, again I ask. For the people that purchased it, how is it on the CPU as compared to Cakewalks plugins? don't have these particular plug ins but i have the studio channel and magnetic and both of those are very cpu friendly, i regularly use multiple (10 plus) instances in my projects (alongside tons of other stuff) and i barely notice any cpu increase at all...

According to the email I read I need the serial number to complete the authorization process: Thank you for your "No Brainer" purchase of the Nomad Factory Liquid Bundle II from audioMIDI.com! *** THIS EMAIL DOES NOT CONTAIN YOUR SERIAL NUMBER. *** Your serial number will be arriving in a separate email once the order is processed. Even though the No-Brainers are delivered electronically, there is some manual processing involved. Due to the immense volume of orders that we receive for the No-Brainers, there may be some delays in fulfilling your order. Generally, you should receive the serial within 24 hours, however the delay could be longer due to weekends and time differences. We appreciate your patience. Enjoy the software! Thank you for purchasing the Liquid Bundle II. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DOWNLOAD YOUR SOFTWARE (Email Required) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download and install your software from: <deleted on purpose> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTHORIZE YOUR SOFTWARE ONLINE (Computer connected to Internet) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STEP 1: After installing your software, you will notice a folder included called 'Authorize Your Machine'. Open that folder and double-click on the application: 'NF Internet Activation' STEP 2: When the window will appear, click Activate Now to continue. If you choose to Quit before activating, the product will run in demo mode. STEP 3: Enter your email address and your serial number, which you received when you purchased the software and click next to activate your software over the Internet. STEP 4: After your software is successfully activated, click Quit and begin using your new Nomad Factory Software.

Yup, that's the correct instructions. I received my serial number email about 5 minutes after purchasing. Sorry you haven't got yours yet. But when you do get it and activate you should receive an email immediately after activating from Nomad outlining your "successful" activation. Tell me if you receive two (back to back) each telling you you've used up another activation...you should only receive one. It may be a bug in their activation system.

So Bapu & Olpal, eventhough X1 has these similar plugs, do you think these Nomad plugs have something better or different to offer? Or did you just get these as it's just a really good deal (GAS)? Will you be using these more than what comes with X1? (I'm on the fence here....somebody push me!!)
