New Plat4Life install - a few questions

Hi,

I finally bit the bullet and did the Platinum For Life upgrade. I used CCC for this, first time to use it. And, did a clean install of the OS on my DAW beforehand. So, lot's new!

One thing I always struggle with is where apps install VSTs. I assumed CCC would place all Cakewalk VSTs in a Cakewalk folder in my main VST directory. That would have been my preference, but it didn't. Question 1: Can I "manually" create a Cakewalk folder and move the VSTs myself? I think I can, just want to check and make sure. For organization purposes.

Question 2: I've used the XLN on-line installer to install AD2 and the paks, and also told it where to put the VSTs in the Advanced tab of the on-line installer. But the VSTs are not to be found, anywhere on my system. The installer even says "everything is up to date".  Weird. Anyone run into this problem? How to solve?

Thanks!

I moved the Cakewalk VSTs just to test, and all works well. Also found the problem with XLN on-line installer, and fixed. So all is well with this new install... for now. May be back with more questions!

Just out of curiosity, where did the VSTs from the XLN online installer wind up? I'm going to be doing the same thing as you in the next week or 2, and like to know where everything's going when I install.
