New Pugtones Christmas Song. "Snow Dreams"

(I accidentally deleted this post - this is a re-post - sorry.)

This is our second Christmas song. We were lucky enough to get Eva Willingham, Warren's sister to sing this for us - she is a pro.

I wrote the music to this one - played the guitars, did the drums and mixed it. Warren wrote the lyrics, sang, played bass and interjected artistic comments that make this tune what it is.

Merry Christmas to all - we love you all - thanks for taking a listen.

Ok, the other post had my explanation of Snow Dreams.  I'll condense.  I grew up loving the Christmas holidays and actually dreamed about them and about all the white Christmases we had.  This is a song about memories put to Mark's beautiful music.  I see my parents and I'm sure Mark thinks of his.  I hope you have a snow dream.  They're beautiful.  THIS POST HAS THE .WAV FILE.  We really do want to wish a Merry Christmas or whatever your holiday might be, you know, the one that fires up your Snow Dream.  Thanks to those who posted earlier.  We don't know how we deleted it.  Gremlins I'm sure.

Daryl- Well, thank you, Daryl.  We thought of strings, keys, everything and then settled on the simple three instrument with vocals.  We thought it worked.  Thanks for the affirmation!  Merry Christmas to you and the lovely Mrs..

Daren- You made my day.  You know, I listened again because of your Gilmour/Dead comment.  I actually heard it!!  I couldn't believe it.  Thanks, buddy and Merry Christmas.  Is that your baby?  Now, there's a gift!!

OK, I remember that Tom (The Pogue) commented on the original post.  I remember your comments and they were very kind.  We just don't know what happened to that critter.  Thanks, Tom, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas in the far away lands.  Keep your music coming!
My memory isn't as good as it used to be but I remember there were a couple other posts.  Thanks to you also.  If I remember I will get back.  We do appreciate all comments and suggestions.  Merry Christmas to all.

the way the intro started, i didn't expect it to take the turn it took when the vox came in...

    nice vocals, beautiful harmonies.
this is so nice and laid back,

Wayne(Sixfinger)- Thanks for listening and commenting!

Dan- Thanks for the kind comments.

Rob- Thanks, buddy.  It's funny, we changed a couple things in the arrangement for Eva but I told her we didn't want to  change the beginning. She wanted just the acoustic and no lead in the beginning.  We had taken everything but the acoustic out in the middle before the main lead and it seemed that was enough.  I'm glad we didn't cut it, I like it and now you do!

Nice job.  Stereo image is very good - nice and wide and clear as a bell.  Good song.  I hear some Mammas & Pappas in it (that shows you how old I am).
Love the guitar lead and tone.
I wish I could get my bass to be so easy to listen to and deep.

I vaguely recall a post some time ago that you collaborated with Warren's sister, Eva, on a song.  I think she sounded a little like Karen Carpenter on that previous post if memory serves.    Great voice and great song.  Everything is performed well and the mix is outstanding.    Mark, I always like your chord choices and enjoy your playing.   Warren isn't too shabby on the bass either;)   Anyway, listened a couple times through and really like it.

Jimmy- Thanks for listening and commenting.  I'll go you one better..... I remember before there were Mamas And Papas.  Oh, woe is me! On this one I thought my bass was really bright but it seems to work..  I think Mark works a lot on the bass track once I send it to him.  Thanks.

Mark- Thanks for the listens!  Eva has done, I think, three other songs with us.  After Christmas I'll problaby post some again.  It's been years since she did one with us.  I'm sure she appreciates your comments, as do we!

Reece- Thanks for the comments!  As I told Mark she did 3 other songs which I'll post in the new year.  They are some of my favorite tunes.   I like the work you are doing, Reece!

    Hi, Warren and Mark,

Wow, guys, this is really an absolutely beautiful piece of contemporary sounding Christmas music!

I love Mark's creamy sounding guitar tones and tasty solo, the bass is perfect and really carries the entire production along, and Eva's vocals and harmonies are fantastic.  The mix is really well polished, crystal clear and very fresh sounding.

Excellent work, guys, you've got another very classy Pugtones song to add to your repertoire!

    Have a good one!

pure gold.....very much enjoyed this tune and the mix is killer...loads of space. Love the bvox (as well as the lead vox of course)...and all the guitars are silky smooth! Great bass riff as well....
