New RME Fireface driver 3.020 available (August 23, 2010)

Fireface got a new driver, ver 3.017.
RME Downloads

V 3.017 (08/17/2010, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.70)
- TMS for ASIO can be disabled in the Settings dialog
- Random delay when starting the ASIO driver fixed

    Yeah, I noticed the above with the previous drivers where it would take a few seconds to change buffers.  Good thing RME is quick to fix issues.

    RME is quick. Now there's 3.020 driver available.

    The new driver v 3.0.2.0 did improve WDM vastly!  Before, I wasn't able to use WDM/KS at all and now I can.  However, ASIO is still superior when it comes to ultra low latency settings.  I still can't play a simple project at 64 samples with WDM.  And, their WDM drivers don't go down to 48 samples while ASIO does.  The good news is that WDM drivers enable me to set the latency super high for those CPU intensive projects, so I may start using it that way.  Need to do some more tests to see how well it works.
