Sorry about that. It's for Studio Instruments. I edited the title to include "SI".

yeah I noticed that when I saw that on the skin, but I guess I'm being dumb, do I replace another bitmap with this one? where?

I think there are about 48 files in the Bass Guitar folder that make up the GUI. Since I wanted an all new look I replaced all but a few with graphics I made from scratch or downloaded. I also had to edit the LayoutResources file because I moved some things around. These files are in the Program Files/Cakewalk/Studio Instruments/SI-xxx xxx/Resources folder.

I commend you on your new skin. I dwnld last night and did the install as provided. Great Look! I wonder if you are working on any of the other SI skins. BTW, I got the skins for Dropzone and Boost 11. The installs are really very easy and it worked, at least on my machine. I may even start using Boost 11 again! Just for the colors! LOL Really, GREAT WORK!

Wasn't sure if anyone cared about this or not so thanks sidroe. These things only happen as the mood strikes. Strings and Piano will probably get left alone. Eventually Drum Kit will get an overhaul but not for a while. I need to get back to music makin'.

I downloaded and unzipped to desktop, from post #7. But I can find no instructions on how to apply the change, the folder just contains the 48 bitmap images. Would love to have it, but afraid to go messin' with stuff! Any advice on where to go from there. I have a folder on my desktop SI-Bass-new? Thanks!

I found it, did as written, and says error when loading bitmap.....but when I hit OK, it opens, and works, just moves slow and jerky sometimes.

Make sure there is a total of 48 files there. You may need to copy over SCROLLER.bmp as I forgot to include it in the zip. Otherwise your download may be corrupt. I updated the zip so you can redownload it if need be. The main thing is to preserve the original files in another folder so you can revert back to them if necessary. Steve
