New SSD
Getting ready to install fresh win7 on new Solid State Drive and was wondering what to do about installing Sonar. I'm currently on the latest version and I will be removing the old drive. Do I simply download the CC and run or get the files from my account?

Cool I was hoping so. I already owned AD2 and G Rig 5 before Sonar included them. Should I or could I not let Sonar install those and deal with them separately or let Sonar install and then go to those installers to update?

Yes, that will work. You can save some time if you have a second drive available (internal or external) and kept the downloads in the Command Center. By default the Command Center stores the installers in "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads." The actual location on your PC may be found by going into the Command Center settings by clicking the gear in the upper right of the Command Center UI and then click the path tab. The location is set in "Download Path." Copy the installers into a folder on the second drive. Then after installing the Command Center on the new system drive, go into the Command Center settings and point the download path to the folder you copied. Then install from the Command Center. the Command Center will use the existing installers rather than download everything again. From there, you can either continue using the new location or point the download path anywhere you wish.

Have you thought about just cloning your entire current drive to the SSD using Acronis or some other like SW? I switched to an SSD and just cloned the old drive to the new and done!

Yeah - as Mr Cook said, you might want to relocate the CCC Download Content to a different drive. And, I also place Cakewalk Content on a different drive, and after install of Sonar, one of the first things I do is alter locations of things like Cakewalk Projects to another drive, all to save space on my SSD for Windows and all applications, as well as my user AppData hidden folder and such. Have FUN with your shiny new SSD! Bob Bone

If you buy a Samsung SSD from Amazon like I did, you get free unlimited cloud storage for one year. I think it may be any SSD....
