New Soft Syth
Hey guys...
I am looking for a new MULTI timbral Soft synth for dance production. Something that doens't eat away at the CPU... too much.
What's your suggestions?

Try out the z3ta+ with the Virus mod for great house/trance/techno sounds. The presets are pretty impressive. I dont have enough experience to speak to the cpu issue.

With a littel programming Rapture will do 6 voices/programs/tracks at once - 6 Elements. And the Z3TA + is nice.

Well, z3ta+ is not multitimbral and is a bit of cpu hungry. I'd suggest Wusikstation with the Wusikstation Companion. WS is not multitimbral per se, but the WS Companion VSTi can load WS presets and is 16-part multitimbral, and also includes master fx and a mixer. According to the developer, it's also more cpu-efficient than loading 16 WS instances. Another good option is Luxonix Ravity(S) with the Ravity16 addition, which also allows one to load 16 Ravity instances as a multi-timbral instrument. If you also need drum sounds, you can get Ravity(R) as well. There's also Luxonix Purity, which is 16-part multitimbral right out the box and includes a 16-part pattern sequencer (good for dance stuff), but it seems that one can't buy it yet. Luxonix plugins are very CPU efficient.

dance you say? check out sonik synth 2 by IKMultimedia. Its 16 part multitimbrle and has tons of great sounds.

oh, hey, i also saw someonein the sonar orum recommend the new Nexus synth by reFX. It looks and sounds amazing for dance music.

I just bought z3ta+ before the holidays! But haven't installed it yet. What is the "virus mod" that was mentioned?? Is this a free expansion pack or something that can be purchased?
