Hey Charlie and Laney,
Thanks for the positive feedback - I'm glad to hear you are enjoying them. You are correct that of course that it is impossible to cover everything. Sonar X1 is a HUGE DAW! There's no immediate follow up series planned. But that could easily change. If these new videos are received well and we see there is a demand for more; we'll be there!!
As promised, here are the descriptions of all the Sonar X1 Tips and Tricks titles:
Track View Tips - Explore ways to work creatively and efficiently with workflow techniques available directly in the Track View Window.
01. Fun With MIDI Parameters - Explore some ways of using MIDI track transpose, timing, and velocity parameters to generate some funky rhythmic variations of bass or drum parts.
02. Input Echo and MIDI Layering - Learn how the input echo function is used for layering sounds, and how preset input configurations are created and used for multiple MIDI controllers to trigger multiple instruments independently.
03. The Arpeggiator - Explore the arpeggiator’s parameters and see how it is used to generate preset patterns and to arpeggiate held chords in a variety of shapes.
04. Fun With Folders - Explore some ways of using track folders to create and edit composite clips, nested looping, and stutter style edits.
05. Clip Selection Groups - See how clip selection groups let you treat and edit multiple clips as a single unit. They’re great for editing multi track recordings, as well as creative slicing and dicing.
06.Nudge - Learn how to set and use the three user definable nudge values. And see an example of how they can be used to reorganize sliced drum loops to create rhythmic variety and fills.
07. Keyboard Editing - Learn how to use the numeric keypad for mouse free control over zooming and scrolling, establishing selections, and fading and cropping clip boundaries.
08. Reverse and Snap Offset - Learn how to create and sync up a reverse cymbal swell using a standard soft synth along with the Bounce To Track, Reverse, and Snap Offset functions.
Time Correction Techniques - Learn some of the various ways note positions, duration, and velocities can be made to conform either to the grid or to other clips.
09. Groove Quantize - Duration - See how the groove quantize functions are used to conform the note durations of one clip to another.
10. Groove Quantize - Velocity - Explore the Groove Quantize velocity features, how to save a groove quantize template, and how to create velocity ramps using the Scale Velocity feature.
11. Fit Improvisation - Learn two ways to have Sonar create a tempo map and conform to freely played performances.
12. Length And Fit To Time - Explore how these two processes are used to alter either the timing or the tempo of both audio and MIDI clips.
Audio Snap - Learn how to manipulate and edit Audio Snap transient markers across individual as well as multiple clips.
13. Working With Audio Snap - Learn how to manipulate Audio Snap transient markers manually, and some different ways to apply the timing from one audio track to another.
