New Song: Breaking

Hi All,

It has been a while.  Here is a song we did off of our first CD which we re-mixed in Sonar X1.  I appreciate you taking a listen and providing any feedback.

*** Updated as of 6/5/2011 - Increased the volume of the lead vocal per suggestion. ***

Thanks,
Tom

    Interesting.
Don't really hear anything lacking.  The vocals sound OK to me.
(But what the he$$ do i know?)
The interlude starting around 1:57 is wild.
Love the bongos and the slightly out-of-tune "flutey" instrument.

    Hi Tom,

Nice to hear you back in the groove of it all.  Cool tune.  I really love that hyper compressed toy piano-ish sound.  Nice instrumentation choices.

Awesome piece!  Nice beat and most excellently produced.  Nice guitar playing!  The vocals seems a bit stretched to hit the notes on the 2nd verse which you added some variation to the melody.

i agree the vocals need to come up. very original sound and music here. not sure how i'd describe it if i had to try and sell it! well played and pretty balanced mix otherwise. sweet!

Don't recall the last version, but the vox are excellent on this one.

I like the piano bit that comes in after 2:00 :-)

But there is a noticeable "shrillness" to the transition at 2:19? (listening on Ultrasone 650s at volume) Enjoyed the ending.

Sounds really good. Nice Vocals, I like the way you break it up! Really sweet mix. Everything sounds really well performed and mixed. Cool piano tone.

Robby I believe that Shrillness was intentional. Perhaps it was too shrill on your Ultrasone's.
