Very nice song. Music sounds excellent. I'm not 100% on the vocal mix, but everything else sounds really really nicely mixed.

Here we go! Good mellow vibe, nice arrangement of instruments. I'd bring the vocals up, we need to hear them in a vocal-driven track like this. I would also look at the bass guitar, it gets a little raspy in spots, you might eq more top end off of it. What bass are you using? I noticed your background vocals during the chorus seem to stray a bit in timing from your lead vocal. I personally don't think you need those backing vocs at all. Your false ending was another thing, the fading electric guitars, I was thinking where's the bridge!!! But I definitely liked the acoustic guitar outtro. nice, keep up the good work! cheers, -Tom

I thought it was well done, everything has its own space and is mixed well. Vocals need to be brought up, ended up focussing more on the acoustic guitar instead of the vox. Personally I liked how the backing vocals battled against the main vocal line in the chorus. I liked the outro part, but it felt it wasn't attached to the same song. Maybe bring it in before the electric guitar goes totally silent.

Thanks all for the input and advices, it really shines a different light on my recording/mixing approach, It´s very refreshing to hear comments from all of you! The vocals have always been hard for me to mix, don´t really consider myself a vocalist, maybe that´s the reason why i tend to accentuate the instruments over my voice. emeraldsoul- the bass guitar is a Squier jaguar ( wish i could afford something better ). Once again thanks to all, Pedro

Nice song! I liked the changes and melody, at times it reminded me a little of Daughtry. Mix-wise not much to add to the above.

Good job on this. I concur with the advice you have already received above. The only thing I would add is that it needs a touch of reverb to gel everything together. You have everything sitting in it's own space very well but I think a little reverb would help it to feel like it is all in the same space IMHO. I like it !

I like this song. The acoustic guitar sounds distorted on my system.

Maybe I'm not hearing the original mix, but this sounds very good on my system. The song is compelling and the vocals sound terrific to me. I'll listen again, but I like my first impression very much!

Good song, good mix. You can tweak it forever, but you probably don't need to. I can hear the vocal fine. You might try a little reverb on it and some of the instruments, as has been suggested, to place the whole band in the same space, but I like it a lot as is.

I loved the song, and I think many of the comments are things I would agree with. A little hotter vocal would help, as most people said. The thing that bothered me the most was the "squeak" of the guitar at 2:26. Volume automation could easily solve that. A less obvious one is at 1:03. Secondly, I think the "power guitar" coming in at the choruses is way too.....80's. I think you might be surprised how much power you can get with less distortion. This may sound weird, but listen to "Hysteria" by Def Leppard. Mutt Lange produced that, and the guitars are amazingly not overdriven. A little bit of fuzz sounds like an amp cranked up. A lot sounds like bees in a jar. Even AC/DC, also Mutt Lange produced, has that "amp on 10" quality, rather than "stomp box distortion" sound. "Back in Black" is the 4th biggest selling album of all time. Just sayin'..... Got to hand it to you, though. I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars... LOVE the ending!

Once again thank you all for the tips and advices! I´ll go back and increase the reverb on the Master bus, and clean up the accoustic tracks from those squeaking parts, ( Good call on those, TerryC, never noticed them on the mixing phase... ) More to come! Pedro,

Yeah, good tune. The bass rumbled in my monitors but sounded solid in my phones. When that happens on my tunes I take a bit of the low end down, or add some top freq, depending on which works. In our final mixes Mark does all the magic stuff that makes it work and I'm not sure what that is. Man, it broke loose at the end. I've always liked your stuff, pedro.

Very nice - I agree the vocal could come up a wee bit but it's not a major problem imo. Good stuff
