New Song Jalapeno Featuring Polymod and Joey Who???
Get out your egg timers boy and girls, this one is over *four* minutes!!! Hehe, I wrote this one specifically for Polymod and Joey Who??? to have some fun on. I wanted to do something with a Latin groove too, so I could play some congas, bongos, timbales, and various other Latin percussion instruments. The end result is this new song titled "Jalapeno" at: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10766539

This is fine tasty stuff indeed. You're the underpainter who provides the cool canvas upon which P'mod and JW can fling large brush-fulls of their virtuoso chops.

Thanks Michael! :) Hehe, you can hear 13 seconds of the underpainter all by himself at the start of the song before Poly kicks in with some 4-part synths. I don't really mind being the canvas. I play a lot of instruments, but a virtuoso soloist, I am not. That's why I try to entice guys like Who??? and Poly to join me in my music.

vechung Awesome! Sounds great. Thanks Vicente! :) It's always a pleasure to work with Joey Who??? and Polymod. Both of those guys are world class players, and I'm lucky enough to somehow get them interested enough in my music to make special guest appearances. I specifically wrote this one for them both to play on, and got them both to record tracks for me within a few days of presenting the idea to them.

I love this! Great playing from all involved. Personally I think the percussion is the star of this tune. Nice work.

Thanks Gary! :-) The percussion parts were the very first tracks I recorded. I actually thought about going and buying one of those $99 desktop pad controllers that have 16 little finger pads on them just to record the congas, bongos, and timbales, but ended up just using my midi keyboard. I do have a full set of V-Drums, which I used to play the drum track, but playing latin percussion with sticks doesn't feel right, with the exception of the timbales.

Excellent! great solos, great mix. Nice panning. everything is very clear. I like the sound of the guitar. Super fusion chops! Percussion sounds awesome. I've got a PadKontrol - it is very responsive.
