New Song "My Creation"

hey guys,
Just put out a new song. Let me know what you think.
I spent a lot of time mixing this one, but I'm still not fully educated on that subject...so don't judge me too harshly.

    I couldn't do any better myself, so I'll leave it to peeps who know what they're talking about.
     
    One thing I have noticed though it there appears to be some harsh clipping here and there on the shouty vox.
     
    Good song though... Learn more about the mixing aspect and you'll have a nice product there.

    Hey Ryan,
    This is a very cool song and nice guitar chops. The mix could use some clarity (EQ) as the other instruments seemed a little muddy in the background. Also check for some phasing issues on the vocals (they seemed to weave in and out throughout the song). 
    I listened to your mix on "Call my Name" which is much more clearer/louder and more defined.......this song could use some of the same treatment you did on that mix. You've got something good going on here.....IMO, it just needs a little "massaging" on the other instruments.

    A well executed and crafted metal song, which is the best start.
     
    Obviously the clipping on the vocal is disturbing.
     
    I feel the vocal is not delivered fully, your holding back probably because its foreign for you to have the pressure of a studio mic in your face in that environment, I know I did.
     
    With more knowledge on EQ and compression you will get these mixes clearer and more in your face.

    Nice song for this kind of genre. Others have mentioned the clipping issues so I will leave more knowledgeable folks to advise you on this one.

    +1 to the comments above - good tune.
     
    Mix-wise, I'd pan the guitars away from center to leave room for the vocals.  And for those, there seems to be a level mismatch between the clean and "growl" vox.....  I'd cut back on the room/short verb on those which ironically seems to push them up front instead of "sitting" in the track.  Maybe some subtle stereo delay or plate reverb with a little pre-delay instead?
