This is a nice, island style instrumental with ersatz steel drums leading the way. The mix is loud and clear, and each element can easily be heard. My only problem is the steel drum samples, they just don't sound authentic enough to make me think of real steel drums. That aside, that's all I can say about this lively tune. It makes me daydream of Jamaica and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea. I'll take a pina colada.

Thanks Lynn for your kind compliments! I can't find an authentic steel pan sample. I got that from the Roland groove synth. I'll have a pina colada also.

Oh yeah, that's nice. Love the bass. I wonder if there's a way to bring the piano up in the mix a bit...I had to strain to hear it in some parts. Sweet! :)

I agree with Janet that it would be nice if the piano could be brought up a bit, but I suspect it would clash heavily with the steel drum sound and pad used. I will admit that I have not had the courage to use steel drums, as there is a high risk of the "cheese factor", but you managed to pull this off nicely. Well done. (edit for typo)

The drums and bass sound terrific - so does the mix. My only nit crit is I wish you used another sound instead of the steel drum but that's my personal preference. Good job.
