New Song "Origin" by Alex Cooper
Will play when you click on the picture or the link (so watch your volume before you press) http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12630802 I plan on making this a lot longer but this is sort of the demo for the track, the first part. I am going to make like 4 more parts that form one whole long song. I think it could be cool :)

Alex, There is nothing to critique!! Sounds right on the money and a great mix. Like the sounds and textures that you used in this, very creative piece. Not sure I would make it to much longer, sounds good on its own. Better to make several different pieces with different titles. You could also have like a prelude to the piece, interlude, prologue and even an epilogue, where everything relates to the main theme you are trying to capture. If you do make it longer, it should build and then captivate and then fade out. Just my opinion. Nice work. Peace and Blessings, John

Thanks a lot. Yeah might be cool to have completely different parts, that are different enough to be their own song. I really appreciate the feedback so much.

Yeah, I agree about there not being a whole lot to critique. Sounds freaking cool. You guys who "understand" synths and sound scapes like that make me jealous. I find the whole thing really confusing. You seem to really have a nice handle on laying down that cool electronic backdrop. Nice!

Wow! Love the composition and the sounds. Listened several times. I think you could do a lot more with this piece, and so I agree with your idea of creating a longer piece from this demo. In fact, I think the piece would benefit with some more alteration between the more acoustic piano-like parts and the more intense synth lead parts. The only way to do this would be to lengthen the piece. Here is a rough idea of what I'm talking about: The first section of the song is perfect. Then the leads synths come in on what I'd call the second section and pick up the intensity nicely. Then you return to a calmer section of the piano type of sounds, which is different than the opening, and provides a nice contrast/change of pace. It's excellent, too. Then in the last third of the song or so the the lead synths come back in and up the intensity, and the complexity of the arrangement increases. This third section is very good too, but this is where I feel the piece could benefit from some more slower suspenseful development. It's all good, but I think could be better with a little slower development. If I had created this piece of music, I'd be really excited about what I had just created, and also excited about the possibilities. So I wish you luck if you choose to take it further.

I like this because it has space in the arrangement and is not too densely packed. It gives one's mind to fill in the blanks, if you know what I mean. Let this be the beginning to your opus!

Dude - I hope I can call you dude - I loved this. I just wish it was longer. It was a great mood, sounds very professional. Reminds me a little of trance music, I just kind of dazed and was poking around SoundClick, at peace and all. Very nice. I'll listen to some more later...I hope the rest are instrumentals too. (How did you get that Facebook link on your player, by the way? I noticed after I paid for a VIP page, my Facebook link went away.)

This is such a great vibe. I'd love to hear this with lyrics and vox. It is so open for it. Just my opinion. It really doesn't need anything else. Great job is all I can say!
