A song I created with Sonar 4, an acoustic guitar, mic and soundfonts

Haha, are you serious? That's an Accoustic?

Pretty damn cool, vocals could be more upfront, but cool jam.

The vocal effect works good on the other one Love of Ours.

Not so good on the first one tho.

Thanks zepo1a for your feedback. The vocals on my song Standing Here were apparent to me when I burned it and listened in my car. But soon after my computer crashed and I was not able to retrieve my files. So I have to start from scratch in order to fix it.
I used FxChorus on my vocals and Guitar Rig for my guitar as well as a mix of guitar and soundfont leads ran through Guitar Rig.

On My other song Love Of Ours I did not use effects on the vocals but instead created a chorus sound by doubling my vocals. Drums, Bass, Strings are soundfonts.

I listened to your Blackbird cover because I have always been an avid Beatles fan. You did a great job. I have always wanted to learn that song. Your vocals sounded very good.

    Again thanks for your feedback.

Blackbird, if you've never done a finger plucking sounds hard, but it's real easy, i learned in in about a week. I use normal tuning, but I heard there is an open G tuning tab floating around, probably at harmony-central.com. I don't know which one Paul used...I'll have to watch the video and see the fingering.

I wanted to remix or redo the chorus vocals but never got around to it.

    thx for the comment.

very different track...put together real well...I like the guitar, nice crunch...the vocal effect seems to fit the mood of the song, the 2 soloing guitars worked real well too...

nice effort...I enjoyed it...look forward to hearing more.

Everyone has a song inside, some of us choose to let it out.

Thanks Raz for the comments about my songs. I appreciate any and all feedback.

I listened to your songs and found you play pretty good. I like the guitars and lyrics to your songs. Great job.
What kind of drums did you use? Are they midi? They seem off somewhat throughout the song. And it seems you could belt out more in your vocals. Not that you have a bad voice. you have a good voice. Just seems you could sing out more. Dont mean to sound critical because I would expect from you honesty as well. Thanks again Raz. Good luck and hope to hear more from you as well.

    Hi, Sam!

I second zepo -- if that's an acoustic on Standing Here, it's great! That's cracking me up! The guitar sounds are cool, be they soundfonts or whatever, during the solo section. The drum sounds are pretty thin, but it sounds like you spent some time programming the parts. Maybe they're just swamped by the thick rhythm guitar tone. The track seems organized and the song has a workable, discernable form.

    Interesting!

Hey M! Thanks for the compliment. Hearing your songs, has me thinking how much I really need to learn about mixing and recording. Awesome. Your music is tight brother. If I could get half of what you do with sonar to make your recordings, I think I would be doing well. I try on my computer to get the sound I hear in my head but sometimes I get frustrated because it just does not sound the way I want too. But I am always experimenting with new ways of doing things with what little I have. Such as my cheap 100 doller Abilene acoustic. With the great amp emulators I can sound like any kind of guitar. And I cannot live without soundfonts. I do some wild stuff with those like running them through Guitar Rig for my bass and guitar midis. Anyway, I could go on and on but.... I just want to say thanks to an awesome musician who I could learn alot from.
