New Surfing Music - The Chi of Surfing

Check out this new style of surfing music. If you hadn't thought about surfing before, this video will either get you started or at least head to the beach and check it out.

I used Sonar Home Studio 7 and Guitar Rig Pro 4 on this.  I've got Sonar X1 but still is having problems with it on a variety of reasons. I would like to use X1 but it's turned into a boondoggle of a program. Maybe this upcoming upgrade will take care of the problems.

    Man those drums are cool.

Not particularly up with the repetitive vocal line. Would have liked some variation.

    Well produced for sure.

This certainly is different from the traditional, reverb style of surf music (i.e., the Ventures, Dick Dale, etc.)  This number seems to have a very ethereal feel as opposed to the high energy sound of what I, as one who has never surfed (I liked being under the water -- SCUBA --- not on top), would associate with the surfing experience.  Having said all this, I also have to say that I really like this number.  Now I am going to have the "dum da dum dum" vocal hook running through my head all day.

    Nice one.
