New Take on a Dylan Classic: "Don't Think Twice" with Bapu
Hey Folks... been a while since I posted anything following a year when I moved several times, but I'm back on the job now. I'd been wanting to do a unique arrangement of Don't Think Twice for a long time. My original idea was to take it way up tempo and play it hard, but when I finally got around to actually doing something with it, what came out went in the opposite direction. Definitely different, I hope y'all like it. Many thanks to my good buddy, Bapu, for the bass, DRUMS and production work. Top song on my Soundclick page: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1050818&content=music

Phil, you hit a home run with this. You made this version uniquely your own, and your production is top notch. Very impressive.

Really cool tune Phil, I'm not familiar with it but really cool arrangement performances and production on this.

Ironically my music buddy and I are currenty working out an acoustic live version of this song. It's a good one. Interesting arrangement, I liked the laid back feel but I might have went for just a few more pbm. I kept waiting for it to speed up. Cool sounding mix. Daryl

This was very interesting. But it was so close to the original, I had to A/B them to be sure you didn't just post a copy of the cover? Ed's MIDI bass skills are improving every day! Trillion has never sounded better.

Dylan and his music makes me want to jab pencils into my eardrums to kill it and and ensure it is never heard again. So, needless to say, I hesitated to play this song. While it did make my teeth hurt and eyes bleed, the arrangement, production, and performance were outstanding. Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go wash the dylan grime from my skin and book an appointment with my therapist for post traumatic stress (I tease, I do not hate him that bad... almost.. but... not that bad hehehe)

One of my favourite Dylan tunes, and this is a cool version Phil and Ed. Nice partner-piece to Rough Patch too, they sit well together.

I'm actually trying to remember this Dylan track, now I know it. You have taken the track and done something interesting, it has an 80's Oz pub rock feel. I like the production and the mix and master sound good. Nice, Ben

Nice job on the cover..... Zimmy has a HUGE discography.... that cat wrote so many songs. Look it up on google.... hundreds of songs. Some of them seemed to go on forever..... I like the POV you took on this.... different.

This is one of the few Dylan tunes I like of which I have heard a number of different versions. I agree with others here this is one of the best interpretations I have heard. Nice share guys ( those mixing and mastering lessons from CJ are paying off then Ed? )
