    They're fun!

I haven't even seen one in twenty + years.

I hope you have a great time with it and that it sparks some creative thoughts.

    best,

Oh yeah, great fun and a very cool creative tool. Takes a little bit of practice to learn to work it but can add just the right spice at times. This might be a bit wide of your genre but here's an ambient drifty piece I did with electric guitar, looper, ebow and mixdown effects, Take Joy as an example.

I've had one for years and use it occasionally, like on our last CD first track, Hope in Suicide.
Take a bit of practice, but you can get some totally original sounds from it.
    Hope you have fun!

They are really cool, and actually pretty versatile. The website has some examples of what can be done.

Cool! How do those things work... some little vibrating mechanism, sort of like a mini power sander I suppose? I'd love to try one out on a violin or cello.

P.S. Found an awesome old cheezy commercial for the E-bow in Spanish. LMAO at the guitarist who gets pissed off at his pick while playing Smoke on the Water

If you're any good with a slide you can get amazing sounds out of this thing.
An ebow, a slide, and a volume pedal and I'm in heaven

Don't forget to try it on acoustic guitar, too. Sounds awesome on an acoustic 12-string!

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Wow, that's a great idea Dave.

Now I want a vintage 'Bow too.
